Malaysian Rock Singer Fulfills LOUDNESS Dream
July 14, 2011According to Malay Mail, Suhaimi Abdul Rahman, better known as Amy, the frontman of Malaysian rock legends SEARCH, will achieve a major dream on July 24 when he performs as guest artiste with Japanese heavy metal group LOUDNESS, which was co-founded by electric guitarist Akira Takasaki.
The show, billed "Loudness Live in Kuala Lumpur", coincides with their 30th anniversary and will also feature veteran Malaysian rock acts SATIRA, SOFEA and SHEWOLVES. The venue is the KL Live nightspot, first floor, Life Centre, Jalan Sultan Ismail.
"I had the opportunity to watch LOUDNESS perform live at Sentosa Island, Singapore in 1990," said Amy who will turn 53 on July 28. "After the show, I was invited to have dinner with them as the organizers who brought them to Singapore were my friends."
